Bouzouki

Absolute symbol of musical Greece, the bouzouki has however long been considered a somewhat “shady” instrument, especially appreciated by criminals. But all this is a story of the past and the bouzouki has even conquered new territories since he arrived in the 1960s – by mistake ! – on the Irish soil where it was immediately adopted .

To meet the specific needs of two repertoires somewhat differentiated, Philippe Bosset has created two new lines of products:

– Copper silverplated wound strings to create the powerful sound required by exuberant Greek dances.

– Phosphor Bronze wound strings for brighter tonalities, in the spirit of Irish folklore.

All these strings are, of course, based on an hexagonal steel core and benefit from an anti-sulfur protective coating.
